This windmill is located in Solvang, California. It was built in 1922. This windmill is now a Santa Barbara County Historical Landmark ( No. 17 ) and is within walking distance from where I live. I've walked over to see this windmill often and enjoy it's rustic appearance sitting quietly in a field. Basically, this mostly wood windmill sit's on top of a small wooden shack and has that gorgeous warm color of stout weathered wood.
