Skipjack
  5" X 7" pencil study
This pencil drawing is just something done for fun and my love of boats. I thought it came out so well that I ended up framing it. This is a Skipjack sportfisherman drawn from a picture from the original Skipjack catalogue. These are awesome boats built right here in Southern California ( evidenced by the cliffs in the background ) and are very rugged and seaworthy. This drawing was done with basically straightline pencil work and lots of "glazing" which is a pencil technique that I've used since childhood and never new it was considered a "technique" at all ! These little drawings are really fun to do when you have an hour to play around.
